Gerry Creighton riding Swirlz Trail

Gerry Creighton

Mountain Biker - Trail Builder

I'm Gerry Creighton — a photographer, trail builder, and visual storyteller based in Bellingham, Washington. My work is inspired by the wild beauty of the Pacific Northwest, where I capture landscapes, wildlife, and action that highlight the region's rugged character and natural wonder.

As a photographer, I focus on Pacific Northwest landscape photography, nature, wildlife, action, and street scenes — images that share authentic stories of place and adventure. Beyond the lens, I've played a hands-on role in shaping and maintaining some of the region's most-loved trails on Galbraith Mountain. I built Swirlz, Larry's Pizza, and the V Trail climbing trail reroute, co-built Hidden Valley with Ryan Joslyn, and continue to maintain Brown Pow on Stewart Mountain with my friend Julie. These projects, many through my work with the WMBC, reflect my commitment to creating sustainable, world-class outdoor experiences for the mountain biking community.

Before dedicating more of my time to photography and storytelling, I spent over 20 years as a Front End Web Developer, designing interactive, user-focused websites. That technical background, paired with my creative eye, allows me to approach every project with both precision and imagination.

Whether I'm behind the camera, shaping a trail, or crafting a digital story, my goal is to capture and share the spirit of the Pacific Northwest — a place of adventure, resilience, and connection. This website is always evolving with new stories, fresh photography, and — soon — select prints available for purchase. You can also find my latest work and behind-the-scenes moments on Instagram at @gerrycreighton, where I share regularly with a growing community of fellow adventurers and creatives.
